Creating an API Token

To create an API token:

  1. In the Home administration view, click API Tokens.
  2. In the API Tokens view, click the New Token button:
  3. In the User field, enter the user name of the ShareBase user designated for performing API actions. This user will be displayed as the owner of documents uploaded to ShareBase from external applications.
  4. In the Password field, enter the user's password.
  5. Select a token type.

    • Bearer is recommended for all custom solutions developed using the ShareBase Public API, including Sharing as a Service.

    • Phoenix is available only for legacy solutions.

  6. Click Create when finished.
  7. To copy the token, click the Copy to Clipboard button.
