Existing Users

When an existing ShareBase user logs in using external authentication, the following events occur:

• The user is mapped to the existing ShareBase user as long as the email address is the same.

• The display name in ShareBase is updated based on the claims from the external system.

• The user's ShareBase user group assignment is updated to match the external groups the user is a member of.

• The user is unassigned from ShareBase user groups that are not mapped to an external group. To be mapped, the name of the ShareBase user group must exactly match the name of the external group.
