Configuring Idle Timeout

Site Administrators can configure ShareBase to automatically log users out after a specified period of inactivity. Users nearing the specified period of inactivity will be prompted to click a button to remain logged in. Users who remain inactive for the entire timeout period will be logged out of ShareBase.

To configure the idle timeout for your deployment:

  1. In ShareBase Administration, click Details.
The Deployment Details page is displayed.
  2. Click in the field under Idle Timeout.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Type the desired timeout in the field.

    • Click the up and down arrows next to the field to increase or decrease the timeout value.

You can disable the idle timeout feature by deleting the value in this field and leaving it blank. If this field is left blank, ShareBase users can remain logged in indefinitely. This field is blank by default.

The minimum idle timeout value is 300 seconds.

    Note:

If a user times out while uploading or downloading a document, the upload or download is canceled.

  4. Click Save.
