Enabling External Shares from User Libraries

Site Administrators can enable or disable the option to create shared links to content in personal libraries. By default, this option is enabled.

By disabling the Create Link sharing option within personal libraries, you can more easily see and control the content that is shared with external parties. The Create Link sharing option remains available in corporate libraries, but only for users who have sufficient rights to share the associated content externally.

Note:

Existing links are not affected by this change. To revoke existing links, see Created Links Administration.

To enable or disable the Create Link sharing option in personal libraries:

  1. In ShareBase Administration, click Details.
    The Deployment Details page is displayed.
  2. Select or clear the Enable External Shares from User Libraries check box.
    • Select the check box to enable external shares from personal libraries.

    • Clear the check box to disable external shares from personal libraries.

  3. Click Save.
